We are pleased to announce that we are the WINNER of the US Foods Next Top Product contest. Launched in June the Next Top Product contest had hundreds of contenders nationwide submit recipes with ultimately 30 semi-finalists’ recipes posted on US Foods’ Facebook page for public voting. More than 114,000 votes were received. On August 31, the top three were announced and we were the winner of the appetizer category, Jumbo Shrimp and Lump Crab Hushpuppies.

We were then flown to Chicago, ILL for a head-to-head cook-off with the other two finalists during the 2012 Fall Food Lovers Forum. Here our product was chosen as the Next Top Product. The Cajun Hushpuppies prevailed as the crowd favorite and received the highest score. As the winner, our recipe has gotten national acclaim and will be made available to restaurants all across America by US Foods in the spring of 2013.
